Detachment

I want to teach a sponsee, more about detachment- and was searching for books and or articles
about it. I felt like I was going around and around in circles looking for "approved" literature.
maybe I can do a search on here and find blogs, with references...I love Hazeldon but I really would like some more hard core " bottom line " work. I have done my detachment work through AA, and ACOA steps and meetings-we can always learn more! Please post suggestions, thanks!

Took a suggestion

I take them often, sometimes though, it takes 'the time it takes' to find what we think is firm footing...
A suggestion to find a Life Coach was made probably a year or more ago. I have a wonderous
sponsor, who is somewhat unreachable due to her MS. I have co-sponsors available that I use for sounding boards, prn. ( and of course the multitude of recovery members)
However recently I lucked onto a web page of someone who got my attention! Intuition nudged me into contacting her and we got together yesterday. 'When the time is right the teacher will appear'- so true! I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, and hope it will allow me to make the progress I need - Don't quit before the Miracle happens!

Summoning Energy

Saying a prayer - hoping for a day of more productiveness... been under the weather with a cold.
Setting out to have a good day- at least 'showing up' intending to act as if-and being grateful for
another opportunity: to give, share and help, someone, somewhere, along the way! See what miracles unfold, turning it over and letting go.

"Did not deal... at the time"

at least: 'quick disconnect' from it...
with whatever was handy, at the time.

bleed into oblivion...

On the other hand, today- drawing of
a meditation, on' fountains' to cool and color the air. It got
transposed with an image of green shaded relief, for hot afternoons.

and at the end, a realization the yard design
complete w/ overhead trellis- was vaguely heart shaped too !

Just for today

OK- Boundaries... personal and public. Learning to moderate what traditionally has been
wrought in cutting edge steel and or granite!
Living in the moment and balance- 2 key elements. Plus:
Being honest, open and willing...Humility...
Flexibility. Detachment. But of course there is investment too. Compassion, empathy,
interest-Reaching out to others, verbally - a smile, touch.
Being aware that we are 4 fold beings. Imperfect and yet hopeful. Action.
Prayer that one can be of loving, joyful service...
